2. What Data We Collect
- Account data: Name, email address, password (hashed — we never see it)
- Profile data: Career goal, experience level, subscription tier
- Resume & cover letter content: The text you enter to generate documents
- Usage data: Number of generations, feature usage, login timestamps
- Payment data: Handled entirely by Razorpay — we never see card numbers
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, country (for regional pricing)
- Chat data: Messages sent to our AI assistant
3. How We Use Your Data
- To generate AI-powered resumes and cover letters using your input
- To manage your account and subscription
- To send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts)
- To improve our AI models and product experience
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To show you regionally appropriate pricing
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database and authentication provider
- Groq — AI processing (your resume text is sent to generate content)
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
All providers are bound by data processing agreements.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you have rights to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link in every email)

7. Cookies
We use essential cookies only (authentication session). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We use Supabase Row Level Security to ensure users can only access their own data.
9. Children
Ascivo is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will notify you via email for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
